HAZEL's OATMEAL BREAD shaped into HOLIDAY DINNER ROLLS …………………………$10/dozen

Our flavorful bread made into beautiful individual rolls for the guests around your table.

Made with hearty molasses, King Arthur's Special flour, and egg-washed with Mac's maple syrup and Edgewater's Own eggs.

ROASTED CARROTS, about 2.5 lbs/pack ……………………….…………………………………………..$5.25

Slow roasted with skins, tossed in olive oil and salt, they are fabulous on their own!  Vacuum packed & frozen in bags of 2-1/2 lbs. (enough to feed 4-6 people) for easy thawing  and reheating.  Gently thaw overnight on the counter, or run water over till thawed.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees, toss on baking sheet & bake for 10 minutes till golden.  

Also tastes great tossed with your favorite herbs like garlic and rosemary, or in addition to casseroles, soups, or stews.  For a wonderful way to use these carrots, make this great carrot ginger soup recipe.

For all those looking to ease up on their winter/holiday/thanksgiving meal prep, and jump right into the eating and drinking and good cheer,  Emily and the good folks in the kitchen got your back.  Em + gang are in the process of slicing, dicing, roasting, and packaging all the necessary vegetables to make mouths water and impress all your friends/family.   Think Mrs. Doubtfire when she orders out and wins the heart of Sally Fields.

Naturally sweet roasted beets, striped and reds, tossed in olive oil and salt.  Vacuum packed & frozen in bags of 2-1/2 lbs (enough to feed 4-6 people) for easy thawing and reheating.  Gently thaw overnight on the counter, or run water over till thawed.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees, toss on baking sheet & bake for 10 minutes till warm.

Wonderful all on their own, tossed with your favorite herbs like dill or served with a dollop of cream cheese.  Also a great addition to casseroles, soups, or stews.  For a wonderful way to use these beets without re-warming them, make this roasted beet hummus recipe from... (the more beets the merrier in this recipe!)

 

MASHED GOLDEN & RED POTATOES, about 2.5 lbs/pack………………………...……………$9.25

We tasted and tested, this is what we came up with as the perfect combination!  Hand-peeled golden and red potatoes, this unsuspecting bagged gem is delicious mashed up with whole milk from McNamara Dairy, Cabot butter and a little salt.  Picked fresh, vaccum packed & frozen in bags of 2-1/2 pounds (enough to feed 4-6 people) for easy thawing and reheating.  Gently thaw overnight on the counter, or run water over till thawed.  Gently warm in pan on stove top with the entire contents of the bag, add about 4 Tablespoons of butter to the mix and stir in till potato seems warm and smooth.  

A sturdy and delicious addition to your favorite casseroles like shepard's pie, as a natural thickner in soups. a no-peel way to make potato leek soup, or a fried breakfast potato cake!  For other ways to use frozen mashed potato, click on the following:

WHIPPED WINTER SQUASH, about 3 lbs/pack ……………………………………………...……...$7.50

In a class all their own, this year's golden giants steal the show.  They are hand scooped & pureed to a silky consistency.  We have taken all the hard work out of the preparation of this under appreciated vegetable.  Picked fresh, vaccum packed & frozen in bags of 2-1/2 pounds (enough to feed 4-6 people) for easy thawing and reheating.   No cream or sugar added. Gently thaw overnight  on the counter, or run water over till thawed.  Pour contents into pan and gently warm on stovetop.  Add a 1/4 cup of Mac's Maple syrup and/or a little McNamara cream to smooth and sweeten if desired.

A family recipe, this is a favorite of Em's.  Its real buttermilk crust (made with McNamara's whole milk) is filled high with Champlain Orchard cooking apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of lemon. This crumble top pie is sure to be a hit with your Thanksgiving crowd!
